ABOUT THE SERIES
A Good Start is a serious, intellectually rigorous streaming series examining lawyer-related crimes, ethical breaches, professional misconduct, and the real-world consequences that follow. The series is not sensationalist. It is analytical, restrained, and grounded in fact, focusing on how legal failures affect victims, institutions, and public trust.
This is not true crime for entertainment. It is accountability storytelling.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a primary on-camera presenter who can lead viewers through complex legal narratives with clarity, authority, and composure. The presenter will introduce cases, contextualize legal issues, and guide conversations with experts when applicable.
The ideal candidate understands how to hold attention without theatrics and can convey seriousness without stiffness.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Strong on-camera presence with natural authority
Comfortable discussing serious legal matters, including white-collar crime, malpractice, corruption, and ethical violations
Clear, measured speaking style. Calm under gravity
Able to explain complex legal concepts to a general audience without oversimplifying
Professional, credible, and intellectually curious
Background in law, journalism, investigative reporting, academia, or legal commentary is strongly preferred
Prior on-camera experience required
NOT A FIT IF YOU
Rely on shock value or sensational delivery
Lean into true-crime dramatization or moral grandstanding
Struggle to maintain neutrality and precision when discussing charged material
