CASTING NOTICES

About Our Productions

5Things Studios develops and produces documentary, narrative, and digital series focused on intelligent, character-driven storytelling and socially relevant subjects. All productions follow established industry best practices.

Auditions & Submissions -

  • We only accept submissions for a specific role.

Submission requirements typically include:

  • Headshot or professional photo

  • Resume or credits (if available)

  • Self-tape (when requested)

  • Slate with name and location

  • Specific instructions are included in each casting breakdown.

  • Incomplete submissions may not be reviewed.

Equal Opportunity Policy -

5Things Studios is committed to inclusive casting practices and evaluates performers based on suitability, skill, and professional standards.

We welcome submissions from performers of all backgrounds, consistent with project requirements.

Casting Instructions

Initial casting is done through the submission of a self-tape audition. A successful self-tape for 5things Studios has the following elements:

  1. Good lighting – a light ring, light box, or natural light is fine, we just want to be able to see your face clearly.

  2. Clear sound – most phones have a built-in camera that works fine. Try to record in an area without a lot of background noise.

  3. Personality – having a good reading partner can really help, but our goal is to see the personality of the character.

We don’t care if you record on your cell phone or on a zoom call. You don’t need to buy expensive equipment or pay for a studio production. We simply want to see your face, hear your voice, and feel your personality.

Once you have created a self-tape, submit it through the form under the project for which you are interested in auditioning.

Call backs will get an in-person audition.
