CASTING NOTICES
ABOUT THE SERIES
Weapons of Mass Destruction is a documentary series examining how, in a hyperconnected America, ordinary citizens are increasingly engineered into instruments of disruption through misinformation, emotional priming, and digital manipulation. The series investigates how campaigns of harassment, intimidation, and character assassination operate with the precision of military operations, often appearing organic while being shaped by unseen systems and incentives.
Drawing from real world cases, political misinformation cycles, corporate and legal battles, and live social experiments, the series reveals how identity, outrage, and algorithmic design converge to weaponize individuals at scale. The project is nonpartisan and analytical in approach, focused on observation, pattern recognition, and structural insight rather than advocacy or ideology.
THE ROLE
We are seeking one or two narrators to serve as the guiding voice of the series. The narrator(s) will provide continuity across episodes, frame complex material, and connect individual stories to broader themes.
This is not a performative narration role. The narrator is a calm, authoritative presence who helps the audience understand what they are seeing without telling them what to think. If two narrators are selected, their voices should complement one another in tone and perspective, offering balance without debate or characterization.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate brings credibility, restraint, and intellectual clarity.
Strong candidates will demonstrate:
A clear, grounded, and trustworthy voice
The ability to convey complex ideas with precision and calm
Comfort narrating sensitive or unsettling material without dramatization
An analytical mindset and respect for nuance
Professional discipline and consistency across episodes
Backgrounds in journalism, documentary work, law, public policy, research, or serious nonfiction storytelling are preferred. Prior narration or long form voice work is strongly preferred.
NOT A FIT IF YOU
This role is not appropriate for individuals seeking visibility for a personal platform or ideological cause.
We are not casting:
Influencers or branded personalities
Political commentators or partisan voices
Performative or theatrical narrators
Voices that rely on alarmism, moralizing, or editorial emphasis
Weapons of Mass Destruction requires trust, restraint, and authority.
